To reach Alfândega do Porto from Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport, you have two options:
1st option:
Take Metro “Line E” towards “Estádio do Dragão” and disembark at “Trindade” station.
Duration: 24 minutes
Ticket fare: Z4
At “Trindade” station, transfer to “Line D” towards “Santo Ovídio” and exit at “São Bento” station.
Duration: 4 minutes
Ticket fare: use the ticket from the previous journey
Upon exiting the metro station, you’ll find the STCP bus stop “500” heading towards “Matosinhos (Mercado)”. Alight at the “Alfândega” stop.
Duration: 5 minutes
Ticket fare: use the same ticket as for the previous journey.
2nd option:
Uber / Taxi – approximately 25 minutes.
If you arrive in Porto by train, you have two options to reach Alfândega do Porto from two railway stations:
1st option (from Campanhã):
Take the train or metro to “São Bento”.
Journey time: 4 minutes
Transport ticket: Z2
Upon leaving the station, proceed to the STCP bus stop “500” bound for “Matosinhos (Mercado)”. Disembark at the “Alfândega” stop.
Journey time: 5 minutes
Transport ticket: use the same ticket as for the previous journey
2nd option (from Campanhã):
Take the metro lines A, B, C, E, or F to “Trindade”.
Journey time: 6 minutes
Transport ticket: Z2
Transfer to Line D towards “Santo Ovideo” and alight at “São Bento”.
Journey time: 4 minutes
Transport ticket: use the same ticket as for the previous journey

Keep right at the fork to continue on the A1 and follow signs for IC2/Porto-Arrábida/Gaia Centro/IC1/V.na Castelo.
Take the exit toward Campo Alegre. (750m)
Slightly veer left toward Via Panorâmica Edgar Cardoso (260m)
Turn right toward R. da Rainha Dona Estefânia (280m)
Turn right onto R. de Dom Pedro V (600m)
Turn left toward Viaduto do Cais das Pedras (850m)
Continue onto R. Nova da Alfândega (220m)
Via A3:
Follow the A3 to Via Panorâmica Edgar Cardoso in Porto.
Continue straight on A3 heading south
Utilize the two right lanes to take exit 6 to merge onto A20/IC23 toward VCI/Porto/Boavista/Gaia/Arrábida (4.1km)
Continue onto A1/IC23 (2.1km)
Take the exit toward Campo Alegre (1.4km)
Slightly veer left toward Via Panorâmica Edgar Cardoso (260m)
Turn right toward R. da Rainha Dona Estefânia (280m)
Turn right onto R. de Dom Pedro V (600m)
Turn left toward Viaduto do Cais das Pedras (850m)
Continue onto R. Nova da Alfândega (220m)

This event is a cornerstone of Portuguese urban culture, bringing together prestigious international dance competitions and serving as a vibrant tapestry of diverse global cultures.
The World Battle 2025 stands as one of the largest breaking competitions globally, but it’s more than just a contest—it’s a celebration for the entire city and its people. From August 25th to August 31st, the Atlantic Coast will come alive with street markets, exhibitions, workshops, sunsets, street demonstrations, parties and competitive performances, transforming various iconic areas of the city.
Notably, breaking has gained recognition as an Olympic sport and was featured in the lineup for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. With approximately 1.2 million practitioners worldwide, representing diverse ethnicities, religions, races, socioeconomic backgrounds, and cultural experiences, breaking offers unparalleled access to new demographics and opportunities, thanks to its captivating cultural appeal and thrilling athletic spectacle.
The World Battle 2025 will be organized by a multidisciplinary team from MXM Art Center, a Porto-based hub for urban art focused on producing shows and providing artistic training.
Following the success of the 2024 edition, which attracted more than 1600 registrations across 15 competition categories and drew 57,000 visitors to the Festival —the 2025 event promises several exciting new features to be unveiled soon.
